Types of Data Collected
We collect several different types of information, by ourselves and through third parties, for various purposes, including:
While using Plat Services, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information ("Personal Data"). Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:
- Email address
- Full name
- Telephone number
- Address, State, County, ZIP Code, City
- Cookies and Usage Data
- Credit or debit card information
- Business information
- Investment property addresses
- Your real estate information
- Your communications with us
- Your survey responses
- Optional information you choose to provide
We may use your Personal Data to contact you with newsletters, surveys, marketing, or promotional materials and other information that may be of interest to you. You may opt out of receiving any, or all, of these communications from us by following the unsubscribe link.
We may also use your Personal Data to contact you to confirm transactions, make important announcements, provide our services (such as alerting you to deeds and mortgages recorded against your property), or when it is otherwise necessary. These communications will not be promotional in nature. As such, you may not be able to opt-out from them. If you do not want to receive these communications, you may deactivate or delete your account.
We may also automatically collect data, either directly or via a third party, generated by the use of Plat Services, from our infrastructure and system logs, or that your browser, email client, computer, mobile device, internet-connected device, phone, or tablet (collectively "device") sends when you visit Plat Services ("Usage Data"). This Usage Data may be combined with other Personal Data and may allow us to identify you, directly or indirectly, either individually or in combination with other information either in our possession or likely to come into our possession.
Usage Data may include, but is not limited to, your device location, your computer's IP (Internet Protocol) address, country of origin, device type, browser type, browser version, browser features, browser fingerprint, operating system, and operating system features, the request method, the server response, any email opens, any email clicks, the pages of our Plat Services that you visit and the order that you visit them in, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, the parts of those pages viewed, tracking IDs, device advertising identifiers, unique device identifiers, and diagnostic data.
Third Party Data
We may collect information from you about a third party, and you may provide us information about a third party. For the purposes of this paragraph, third parties include, but are not limited to, your family members, your customers, and your borrowers. You are responsible for this data, and you represent and warrant that you have the third party's permission to include their property in the Title Watch, consent to provide us this data, and authority to bind them to this Agreement. This Agreement will apply to both you and them, jointly and severally. If they no longer want their property included in the Title Watch, please remove that property from the Title Watch and/or delete the account.
Tracking and/or Cookies Data
These Cookies, both first party and third party, may be used for multiple purposes, including, but not limited to, keeping session information, tracking resource usage, operating our services, allowing you to sign-in and make purchases, security, remembering your preferences and various settings, delivering our ads, targeting our ads, optimizing our ads, compiling ad audiences, tracking usage, tracking emails, and analyzing and improving Plat Services.
Information gathered from these Cookies may be stored on your device, our servers, or our third party providers' servers. This information may be combined, either by us or by a third party, with information from other Cookies, other information, other Data, and/or other Personal Data. In addition, these Cookies may allow the identification and tracking of your device over time and across websites.
Please note that you can also instruct your browser to delete any, some, or all cookies. However, this may prevent you from using some portions of Plat Services and/or require you to log in again. You may also be able to use browser settings, extensions, and/or content blockers to block tracking and/or analytics technologies. Please note that these browser settings, extensions, and/or content blockers may come with risks and concerns of their own, and that their use is at your own risk.
Use of Data
Plat Land Technology Inc. uses the collected data for various purposes:
- to provide and maintain Plat Services
- to notify you about changes to Plat Services
- to personalize your experience on Plat Services
- to allow you to participate in interactive features of Plat Services
- to provide customer support
- to gather analysis or information
- to improve existing Plat Services and add new Plat Services
- to monitor the usage of Plat Services
- to detect, prevent and address technical issues
- to target and optimize our advertising, marketing, and retargeting
- to secure Plat Services
- to detect and prevent fraud
- to fulfill any other purpose for which you provide it
- to fulfill our legal obligations
- to include into an aggregated statistical profile
- to resolve disputes
- to carry out our obligations and enforce our rights arising from any contracts, including Agreements, entered into between you and us, including for billing and collection
- to provide you with notices about your account and/or subscription, including expiration and renewal notices, email-instructions, etc.
- to provide you with news, special offers and general information about other goods, services and events which we offer that are similar to those that you have already purchased or enquired about unless you have opted not to receive such information;
- in any other way we may describe when you provide the information
- for any other purpose with your consent
Retention of Data
If your account is terminated, disabled, or deleted, some or all of your data may be irreversibly deleted at any time after the closure is processed.
However, even after you edit or delete some data or your entire account, copies, duplicates, archives, backups, and older versions may remain on our systems and those of our Service Providers.
Transfer of Data
Disclosure of Data
We may disclose personal information that we collect or you provide:
- We may be required to disclose your Personal Data to public authorities or law enforcement if required by law or in response to a valid request or order
- If we or our subsidiaries are involved in a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or other business transaction, your Personal Data may be transferred

- to fulfill our objectives described in “Use of Data”
- for advertising, marketing, and retargeting
- for the purpose of including your company’s logo on our website
- for any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information
- if we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Company, our customers, or others
- with your consent in any other cases
Security of Data
The security of your data is important to us. We take appropriate, commercially reasonable, steps to prevent unauthorized destruction of, disclosure of, modification of, use of, and access to your data. We limit internal access to data to those who have a legitimate business reason (such as management, legal, sales, marketing, or IT) to access it. We also limit external access to data to Service Providers who have a legitimate reason to access it. Passwords are stored securely and cannot be recovered, and lost passwords can only be reset. However, please note that 100% perfect security cannot be achieved.
To protect the privacy and security of your most sensitive data, we restrict the data that is stored on our servers. For example, your complete credit and/or debit card numbers are not stored on our servers, but are presented only to our third party payment processor. You can read about our third party payment processors in the “Payments” section.
Handling of "Do Not Track" Signals
Plat and Plat Services do not support "Do Not Track" and "Do Not Track" signals will not be honored. Therefore, even if we receive a "Do Not Track" signal, we may still continue to track you in accordance with normal practices. Please consult the privacy policies of our third party providers and services to see how they handle "Do Not Track" requests.
Third Party Tracking
We may use third party services that track your online activities, for purposes such as improving our services, analytics, advertising, marketing, ad targeting, and ad retargeting. As a result, these third parties may collect your data over time and across websites.
We may employ third party companies and individuals ("Service Providers"), to facilitate our Service, to provide Plat Services on our behalf, to perform services related to Plat Services, to assist us in analyzing how our Plat Services are used, and for any purpose(s) described in "Use of Data" and "Disclosure of Data". Your personally identifiable information may be shared with these third parties and Service Providers. Their handling of your information will be governed by their Privacy Policies and other agreements. These third parties and Service Providers are described in "Analytics, Advertising, Targeting, Retargeting, and Remarketing", "Payments", and "Other Service Providers." We are not responsible for the practices of, changes in the privacy policies of, and data breaches suffered by any of our Service Providers. We also do not warrant that their privacy tools, extensions, settings, and add-ons work as intended or at all. Please note that any privacy controls may apply to only one browser or device and may need to be set individually for each browser and/or device. Any information about their privacy policies, privacy tools, extensions, settings, and add-ons is for informational purposes only, and may be incorrect, incomplete, or out-of-date.
Analytics, Advertising, Targeting, Retargeting, and Remarketing
Google Analytics, Ads, and Retargeting
We may use Google Analytics, Google Ads (AdWords), Google Analytics Advertising features, Google Analytics Advertising Reporting Features, Google Analytics Remarketing features, and Google Analytics' audience data. We may also use Google signals, in-page analytics, Remarketing with Analytics, Demographics and Interests reporting, Enhanced Demographics and Interests reporting, Campaign Manager integration, Display & Video 360 integration, Google Display Network Impression Reporting, and Segments. Retargeting allows us to serve ads to you on other websites after you have visited or used Plat Services.
Google Analytics is a web analytics service that tracks and reports website traffic. This data, including Cookies and Usage Data, may be shared with other Google services, both individually and in the aggregate. Google may also use the collected data to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network. We may collect any data that Google Analytics can collect and may combine some or all of this data with other data that we may have about you, individually or in aggregate.
You may opt-out of the Google Analytics Advertising Features via Google's Ads Settings, Google's Ad Settings for mobile apps, or any other means made available by or respected by Google.

Facebook Ads, Remarketing, and Analytics

Taboola Ads, Targeting, Remarketing, and Analytics
We may use Taboola to deliver, target, analyze, and optimize our ads. We may also use Taboola and Taboola-compatible third-party cookies, pixels, tags, and/or similar technologies to deliver, target, analyze, and optimize our ads. Taboola may use any collected data to contextualize, personalize, and optimize the ads on its own advertising network.

We may use Outbrain to deliver, target, analyze, and optimize our ads. Third Party Targeting
We or our Service Providers may use providers such as Bombara, Acxiom, Eyeota, Exelate, and Connexity to optimize the targeting of our ads based on audience attributes.
We use third-party services for payment processing (payment processors). Our payment processors are PCI compliant.

Other Service Providers
We may also share your information with local government recorders, local government clerks, local government assessors, title plant operators, real estate data providers, law firms, title companies, their services, their applications, their websites, and their APIs in order to provide Plat Services and look for documents affecting you or your property.
Our emails are currently managed by GSuite (Google). As such, your information may be processed on and stored in servers owned and operated by Google.
We may use the Streak CRM for communicating with our customers and our partners. As such, your information may be processed on and stored in servers owned and operated by Streak or its service providers.
Plat Services are currently hosted using Amazon Web Services (AWS). As such, your information may be processed on and stored in servers owned and operated by Amazon.
In all cases their handling of your information is governed by their privacy policies and other agreements.
Links to Other Sites
Our Plat Services are not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18 ("Child" or "Children"). Our Plat Services are also not intended for use by K-12 students.
We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from Children under 18. If you become aware that a Child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from Children without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.
Opt-Out from “Selling” your Information
If you do not want us to “sell” your information, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will verify your request, respond to you, and stop “selling” your information within 60 days of your request.
As mentioned in “Other Service Providers,” please note that providing our service requires querying for your name, address, and other identifying information in public records and third party databases that contain public records. If you do not want us to do this, then you can request that we delete your account.
Reviewing, Correcting, and Deleting Your Information
You can review and change your information that we have stored by emailing us at email@example.com. However, we may not accommodate your request, if we, in our sole discretion, believe that it would result in incorrect data or violate any legal requirement or law.
